Who Is it For?
What our team loves about Helix is they have mattresses for nearly everyone! From Twin to California King sizes, plus firmness levels from plush to firm, and even dual mattresses with a different firmness on either side, Helix has it all. There is also a specialty model for plus size and big and tall customers so that everyone can feel comfortable and supported while sleeping.
And if all the choices seem baffling—there are eleven Helix collections—the company also offers a sleep quiz to help hone in on what the best mattress is for your sleep needs.
The Helix Mattress Collections
Helix uses a color-coding strategy to divide up their mattresses based on firmness, and there are tons of options for each sleep habit, body size, and personal preference. There are also collections with similar features in both 10-inch and 14-inch mattress heights.

Helix ‘s Mattress Construction
Because Helix offers so many variations on their 10-inch and 14-inch mattresses, it’s difficult to describe them all accurately. However, there are components in common with the mattress construction at every price point and collection.
All the mattresses use Memory Plus Foam, which helps relieve pressure and is a proprietary “blend” by the company. There’s also Dynamic Foam, a latex-foam hybrid alternative that helps cushion your body by reacting to your movement.
Also, there are individual coils inside each mattress to aid in reducing motion transfer while cradling your body, no matter how you sleep.
Helix mattresses are also made entirely in the United States and leave facilities throughout the lower 48 states, and their teams have been manufacturing beds for over 30 years.
Trial Period and Guarantee
Helix has a 100-night sleep trial, ideal for testing out your custom-created mattress. The company suggests giving the new mattress at least few weeks to adjust—ideally 30 days. Once you “break in” your bed, the company promises, you won’t want to return it.
Of course, if you’re still not comfortable after the first 30 nights, Helix will send you an additional “comfort layer” for free—something our team really appreciated. The comfort layer can either make the mattress softer or firmer per your preference, giving you another way to custom-tailor the bed to your liking.
If you want to return the Helix mattress, you just need to call the company, and they’ll arrange a pickup. Then, they’ll give you a full refund after it’s gone. If you keep the mattress, you’ll have either a basic 10-year or LUXE 15-year warranty, depending on the model you bought.
According to Helix, firmness levels range from a plush feel that’s cloud-like to a firm feel that has little to no “give” when you sink onto it. Of course, you can also select a Helix Dual Balanced or Helix Dual Extra, both of which let you select a different firmness for either side of the bed.
So whatever firmness level you’re looking for, you’ll likely find the right fit with one of the collections.
Part of the comfort with Helix is finding the mattress that best fits your sleep style. The company organizes its collections by side sleeper versus all positions support, plus by firmness level. Therefore, the most comfortable bed is the one that suits your preferences.
Of course, pressure relief points, side sleeper and all positions support, and the option of a 14-inch mattress over the 10-inch model give more choices—all of which are pretty comfortable if you ask our team.
Because Helix uses high-grade materials, there should be little to no off-gassing once your new mattress arrives. Of course, it might have that “new bed” smell, but it shouldn’t be overwhelming, and a bit of airing out will get rid of any scent.
Motion isolation effects will vary based on the mattress type you select; plusher mattresses often involve more movement than firmer surfaces. And since Helix offers so many variations, it’s tough to say exactly how every mattress will perform. However, memory foam is known for reducing motion, so most mattresses will likely keep you resting comfortably while your partner gets in or out of bed.
The Ordering Process
The first step in the ordering process with Helix is actually taking their sleep quiz. By telling them about your sleep preferences, positions, and personal quirks, they can zero in on the best bed for you. You can also select a mattress from any selection, add it to your cart, and be done!
Shipping is free for customers within the US, and Helix ships to all 50 states. Shipping to Canada is $250 per mattress plus a Customs Tax, which applies at checkout.
Delivery and Packaging
Customers can expect delivery within three to seven business days. Mattresses arrive in a compact box and weigh between 50 and 110 pounds depending on what size you order. The packaging includes a cardboard box and plastic wrapping that keeps the mattress compacted.
Remove the plastic wrapping, wait two hours, and you’re all set to sleep on your Helix.
Helix is an amazing mattress with affordable pricing and multiple options You can never go wrong when choosing Helix and in any case, you get full premium customer support to help you be satisfied at all cost.
